Patrick is a single dad to twin four year old boys, trying to hold on to a promise he never thought he’d have to make. A promise he can’t forget. A promise he never thought he’d have to deal with. A promise he now had to confront. A promise that he’s never confessed to anyone he made, one that he’s carrying the burden alone.

When a blast from the past enters with a flat tyre, the promise Patrick made to his wife seems even heavier and even harder to carry.

With his brother’s wedding plans in motion around him, his sister’s progressing pregnancy and his families determination to see him happy, Patrick can’t escape the feelings that are growing within him, no matter how much he tries to hide them.

The O’Brien family is one I’d love to be a part of – Mary’s feasts constantly make me hungry.

Gloria invites us to sit down at the O’Brien family dinner and enjoy their company once again and this time, it’s Patrick’s smile we are their to witness. I loved this book and hope their is more to come.
