Review: I’ll admit that this isn’t the genre of book that I would usually pick up, so when it was recommended to me I was skeptical. But within the first chapter all of my skepticism was quickly forgotten as I got sucked into Jared and Jennie’s world.
A Dangerous Gift, was a book that had me so intrigued I couldn’t put it down!
When Jared’s parents die in a mysterious plane crash he calls Jennie, the girl who’d come to live with them after her own parents had tragically passed away years early. Returning to the home and the heartbreak she’d been carefully avoiding for years, proved to be harder than Jennie could ever imagine. Only to be made harder when weird ‘accidents’ began happening around them.
While Jared and Jennie try to fight their feelings towards each other, feelings they’d both promised they’d buried years ago, they are forced to stand together to try to solve the mystery of who is trying to kill them and take their newly inherited ranch from them. And just as importantly why.
Jane Hunt did a marvelous job of keeping me on the edge of my seat with twists and turns all the while making you root for the characters you can’t help but fall in love with.
