As you may be aware from previous posts, I went home for Christmas, the UK. Whilst there, I spent a couple of days in London with my other half and family. We booked into Hyde Park apartments, and were pleased to find that they were lovely! Modern, spacious, perfect location being a street away from Hyde park and Winter Wonderland. The apartments were fully equipped with everything that you could need.
We spent the day exploring. So, we took the tube to different parts of London, and went sightseeing. We saw the London bridge which was absolutely gorgeous at night, all lit up. We checked out big Ben, the house of parliament, the shard, the London eye, and Winter Wonderland.
Winter Wonderland was so magical! Held in Hyde park, It was covered in Christmas decorations, pretty market stalls selling food, clothes, handcrafted items, little bars selling warm wine, a fairground and an ice skating rink. It was packed with people. It was absolutely lovely, and definitely put me in a Christmassy mood.
The next day, we checked out Oxford street and done some shopping. We also went for a nice meal.
London is a lovely city, I had been before, but years ago. It’s definitely worth seeing if you haven’t been before. I would have liked to see Buckingham Palace, Camden markets and Covent Garden, however there’s always next time.
