Blurb: Everything’s in place for the season’s hottest launch: Tall latte (with two raw sugars)? Check. Gucci trench (draped over desk)? Check. Outrageous, unreasonable demands? Check. Andy has just turned thirty and is an incredibly successful magazine editor, working closely with her best friend Emily, another Runway survivor. She’s about to get married – life’s on track and she’s been careful to stay clear of Miranda Priestly, her dreadful first boss. But Andy’s luck is running out. Miranda Priestly isn’t the kind of woman who hides in the background.
She’s back… and more devilish than ever.
Review: I’m a huge fan of Lauren Weisberger’s books, so was looking forward to reading this novel. Whilst the writing style is as descriptive, engaging and flawless as ever, the plot was a little disappointing. I expected there to be some great big revenge payback for Andy, and was awaiting something big to happen whilst turning the pages, however it didn’t really come until the end. I would have liked to have read more of Miranda, however there weren’t many scenes of her in it. Overall though, if you fancy a descriptive, enjoyable read and loved the last book / film, then it’s worth getting.
